The Perfect Aloe

We are very pleased to announce that, following months of sourcing and testing various aloes, 100% Collagen Ltd are now in a position to offer one of the best filleted Aloe Vera drinks available on the marketplace.

Aloe has been well recognised for many for its therapeutic benefits in being able to assist many conditions, including skin problems.

What makes The Perfect Aloe different?

The Aloe plants used in our production are grown in Mexico on virgin soil.  The land, having not been used for many years for the production of cotton, is very rich in nutrients required to produce a quality harvest incorporating younger plants (2 years instead of five to six in most plantations).  The crops are all grown under organic conditions, without the use of herbicides or pesticides and the land is irrigated by water which comes from 4 different mountain ranges.

What makes The Perfect Aloe so pleasant to drink?

It is well known that aloe is never sold for its pleasant taste, but we have succeeded in producing a very pleasant, natural flavoured drink.  We are able to achieve this by extracting most of the bitter laxative aloin, which is inherent in the plant, through processing.  Our drink contains less than 10 parts per million, which is on one of the lowest, compared to other filleted aloes on the marketplace.

What benefits can be experienced by taking The Perfect Aloe?

No one is claiming that the Aloe Vera is a ‘cure all’, but it should be noted that aloe is adaptogenic, and as such, has the ability to help most people.  Many satisfied users have reported that they have experienced tremendous improvements by taking Aloe Vera in helping to address problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (1 in 5 people in the UK suffers with some form of IBS).  Aloe Vera can also help with conditions such as arthritis, stress, tiredness, skin problems and any general digestive disorder.

The government is currently broadly promoting the fact that the nation needs to start taking an interest in its own health, and that there has been a possible over use of antibiotics, so there has never been a better time to start taking The Perfect Aloe!

We suggest that you use The Perfect Aloe on a daily basis to maximise the benefits and we recommend a dosage of 100ml per day for the first two months and there after a maintenance dosage of 60ml.

All products carry a maximum 2 years shelf life span.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF PERFECT ALOE

By Billy C Coats, C.C.N., R.Ph.

We have researched aloe vera for the past 36 years and also reviewed hundreds of scientific papers describing the activities of aloe vera gel when taken internally and when applied externally to the skin and hair.  Certain characteristics of aloe vera are described repeatedly and are well documented.  These include:

  1. It is a natural cleanser.  (Aloe vera contains saponin which acts as a natural cleanser).  The Indians applied the fresh gel from the aloe vera leaves to their hair, applied water and would get a sudsy effect.
  1. It has the ability to penetrate through all layers of tissue.  This is arrived from the lignins in aloe vera.
  1. Works as a local anaesthetic to relieve pain both on the surface and deep into the surface including joint and sore muscle pain.
  1. It is bactericidal when it is maintained in high concentration for several hours in direct contact with bacteria.  It does not act as a strong antibiotic which may destroy bacteria when highly diluted.
  1. It is virucidal when in direct contact in high concentration for long periods of time.
  1. It is fungicidal under the same conditions.
  1. It is a hemostatic agent.  Reduces bleeding both topically and below the surface.  This was proven by Dr Fulton in his dermabrasion technique.
  1. It is antipyretic, reducing the fever or heat of sores.
  1. It is anti-inflammatory.  Its action is similar to that of a steroid, but with no side effects.  All clinical studies report extensive anti-inflammatory activity.
  1. It is antipruritic – stops itching and burning.  This is beneficial for athletes foot, bee stings and immediate relief from burning and itching.
  1. It provides a wide range of vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
  1. It dilates capillaries increasing blood supply in the area to which it is applied.  This effect is seen when the skin is in tact.
  1. Proteolytic enzymes break down and digest dead tissue and dead cells in all areas where applied, hastening the degenerative phase of healing allowing a more rapid healing.
  1. Epithelization (cell division).  Dr James Fulton proved in dermabrasion that the whole leaf cold aloe vera gel process stimulates cell division by 300%.
  1. It is a natural moisturiser to the surface and through the tissue.  It applies a protective barrier which slows down the evaporation of the natural moisture in the skin to the outside atmosphere.
  1. Safety: each property described above can be reproduced by one or more drugs but such drugs must usually be taken by prescription with caution and only in very limited dosage.  Aloe vera gel, on the other hand, produces these effects when it is in high concentration in direct contact with the tissue but, unlike most drugs, is extremely safe. Aloe vera is comparable in safety to any edible tropical fruit or vegetable.  It has been taken internally on recommendations of physicians for thousands of years and utilized by millions of people around the world.  People of all ages from infants to the elderly use the product routinely.  In the laboratory it has been administered to test animals to the capacity of their stomachs with no ill effect.  It has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a safe food additive (See: FDA Chapter One; Paragraph 172.510).
  1. Aloe vera gel is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treatment of burns and minor skin problems.  The company does not claim that aloe vera gel will cure an internal disease.  However, since it has these properties and is known to be safe, many people both physicians and patients, use it as an adjunct to their regular health programme to see for themselves that it does provide additional benefits.

ADVANTAGES OF WHOLE LEAF ALOE VERA GEL (with bitter tasting aloin removed)
COMPARED WITH ALOE VERA GEL

IN TOPICAL PRODUCTS

Aloe Vera Gel is derived from the central portion of the aloe leaf – the fillet- with the thick, green rinds carefully removed to avoid contamination with the yellow sap (latex), which contains a high concentration of laxative anthraquinones, located in the vascular bundles attached to the undersurface of the rind. The anthraquinones absorb ultra-violet rays, which prevents overheating of the internal portion of the leaf.  The fillet is the water-storage organ of these xerophytes and contains 99.5% water and 0.500% total solids consisting of over 250 different moieties.

Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Gel is prepared by grinding up the sanitised whole leaf after the tip, base, and small lateral spines have been removed.  Undesirable constituents (anthraquinones are removed by selective filtration after the rind particles have been separated from the juice.  The product made using this processing method is (1) richer in all constituents found in the Aloe Vera Gel, and (2) composed considerably more and larger long-linear polysaccharides, which play a significant role in topical aloe products.

As has been delineated above, the vascular bundles are attached to the undersurface of the leaf rind and are embedded in and surrounded by a thick mucilaginous layer, which is especially rich in polysaccharides and other constituents which are synthesized in the vascular bundle cells.  This product contains, on average, about 98.5% water and 1.5% total solids – three times more than Aloe Vera Gel.

The difference in some important characteristics between the two gels is derived from studies commissioned by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) and is presented in the Table below.  These data also are part of the requirements for certification of aloe raw materials and finished products.
